To the Givers

There was a time in my life when i didn’t feel like i had a reason to get out of bed.
It was a feat if I made it off the floor of my closet where I used to sit and cry.
Bless the people that stood beside me.
Those that fought through the discomfort. The utter awkwardness and space where words simply couldn’t fill the void.
The ones that showed up on my doorstep Easter morning- when my family lived hundreds of miles away.
To them i was not related by blood, but dammit if I was going to spend that day alone.
The givers, man. The people with their hearts open wide.
Servants of this earth. Angels amongst us.
You make the world go round.
A truly wonderful, painfully beautiful, but better place 🌎
