The Greatest Gift I Have Ever Been Given

For Christmas, my dad digitized our old home movies. I’ve spent hours pouring over those tapes already and I know I’ll spend many more to come.
It’s wild to relive the memories- one of my favorites, being this clip.
My parents used to push me around the house in this orange laundry basket with my little cocker spaniel, Casey, in tow.
You can tell by the cheesy grin on my face that I absolutely loved it.
I remember it like it was yesterday.
It’s funny to watch it now as an adult- the things you notice.
That empty room we were running around in- we weren’t clearing it for us to play.. We couldn’t afford to fill it in the first place.
I didn’t know we didn’t have a lot of money, and quite frankly, I could have cared less.
But what I did know is that we had a whole lot of love.
That little girl in the video- she got so lucky.
My family is far from perfect, but if I can be half the parent to my future children that mine were to me, I will be a success story beyond my wildest dreams.
They truly are the greatest gift that I have ever been given 🎁
